Before we commence, can you think of any leader who does not engage in any form of public speaking?

Public Speaking is the presentation (or speech) given life before an audience or group of persons.

Identify a leader, at work, social gathering, place of worship, or a political arenas… Does he engage in any form of public speaking?

My point is: –
If you desire to get to the top of your chosen field; or you are preparing yourself for growth and success. You must learn how to address the public properly. You must prepare to address an audience with success.

However, you may not be aspiring for greatness or a position of leadership, but you may still find the need to become a public speaker. This may be as a result of your type of work, social responsibility or engagements, and/or your interests in general. Evidently, improving your public speaking skills is a must for persons who aspire to lead others.

Why is Public Speaking a BIG ISSUE?

Public Speaking is not an issue, but some persons who have difficulty with speaking in midst or before a gathering of people that make it a big issue. Some people find it difficult to even say in public the same speech they would have made in front of a few friends without hassles.

Several reactions have been generated and reviewed about how people feel when told to go in front of an audience to make a presentation. The speakers are engulfed with the reality of the moment of expressing themselves before numerous eyes. They usually become unnecessarily cautious, afraid, anxious and too conscious about how they would perform.

How can we be more confident public speakers?

We would be exploring different tips and techniques in this series to improve or harness your public speaking skills.
