PART 2

“Sis Timi, Sis Timi, are you with me…? I know it is shocking coming from someone like me, and the truth Sister Timi, is that Papa is not really my kind of man!” Sis Joy kept talking like she was talking to a fool…
“Indeed, he is not your type?” I said silently under my breath, but instead, I said loudly, “I am with you Sister Joy; what are the other revelations that confirm Papa is the perfect will of God for you…?” I said, trying to suppress my anger.
“In fact, a man of God met me on the road two days ago and warned me. He said, and I quote: ‘Why are you running away from the will of God? If you miss him, you miss goodness, and if he misses you too, he has missed goodness’. So you see Sis Timi, please help me talk to Papa. I must not miss him, and he must not miss me either, because as we speak, there are a lot of long throat sisters saying that God told them that Papa is the will of God for their lives…” Sis Joy said unbelievably.
“En… En… Really? So there are a lot of sisters like you?” I blurted out in obvious surprise.
“Nooooo, I am not part of them; they are all liars, falling for Papa’s anointing… Mine is genuine and I don’t want him to make a mistake. You know marriage is a delicate issue. If he falls for any of those sisters, he won’t be able to actualize all that he carries. God choosing me as his wife is not a mistake, because God knows I am a woman of prayer; he needs a woman like me…” Sister Joy continued saying boastfully, but then something dropped in my heart… Bro Tunbosun… Yes! Bro Tunbosun. He was the publicity officer of the fellowship. Sister Joy had received him as the will of God barely two semesters ago, but the brother said he was already engage. Did God suddenly change His mind for Sister Joy because Brother Tunbosun was not available? … I needed to ask this ‘vision seeing sister’ that was about to confuse my Papa from seeing clearly!
“Sister Joy, what about Brother Tunbosun? I thought you said the Lord told you he was the will of God for you?” I asked.
“Oh! Him? He was only the permissive will of God for me; Papa is the PERFECT will of God…!” Sister Joy said and I was more than perplexed.
“So I am not understanding you!” I suddenly lost the ability to speak good English… “You mean God has so many men in the world, that He will create two men for Sister Joy, and name one Permissive Will and the other Perfect Will…? En… En, and Sister Joy, God decided to first show you the permissive will before the perfect will?” I asked with a raised eyebrow.
“Sister Timi, are you doubting my ability to hear from God? I have been hearing from God since I was a child… I mean God works in strange ways; he might have been testing me by giving me the permissive will first…” Sister Joy was saying and I had to cut in…
“Sister Joy, if you were someone else I would have concluded that you were confused and needed help, but since you are a spiritual person, I will suggest you pray well and look elsewhere because as we speak, Papa is SERIOUSLY engaged to a lady named Atinuke. He is just quiet about it.” I said.
“What? Atinuke… Who is that?” You need to have seen the look of hatred on her face…
“Well, I have met her and I must tell you, Papa is so much in love with her, she has met his parents and he has done likewise too…” Sister Joy’s hope had been dashed…
“Do I know her?” She asked.
“I don’t think so…” I said defiantly as I was getting irritated at her sight. By this time I was already walking away from her… “If I were you, I would not mention it to Papa, because your name will be blacklisted like some of the other sisters that have approached him… I advise you, let this stay between us, so you don’t lose the respect people have for you in the fellowship…” I said, once more scaring her away from my property…
Yes! Papa was my property. He was my husband to be, he was God’s PERFECT will for me; the only challenge was that, he was yet to receive the revelation from God… I know you are wondering who Atinuke is? Well, don’t crack your brain too much; that’s my father’s pet name for me… Yes! Papa was engaged to Atinuke… It was a prophecy; it was going to happen very soon. Papa was going to propose to me. God had told me I was made for him, just like Eve was made for Adam…
I obviously left Sister Joy heartbroken, because she didn’t turn up for the evening service, but as I kept looking towards the door to know if she would show up, I saw something else…
